What the heck is the logic behind THAT? Makes zero sense to me, if anything they should complement the faction ship advantages (i.e. 25%-50% more calibration than T1) to keep the balance as it is now.
It makes lots of sense to me tbh, Faction ships are better then t1 ships because they come with free rigs installed, because of this you lose out on calib points.

Would'nt they just update to whatever stats you put/change on them like every other modules does ingame? Or does this mean well be able to customize rigs in the future, since each one apparently has its own stats once get assembled?

If you now say "no they are not better at all, they just fit some rigs fixed", then faction ships ARE INDEED equal in principle to normal T1 ships.
Well faction ships are the same size as t1 ships, so all that spiffy new stuff has to go somewhere. Navies are just more efficient at squeezing junk into their ships, now us pod pilots are catching up with rigs even though we still havent quite reached their level.

They dont have to as even with Rigs a t1 raven still wont compare to a navy raven.
